If you don't already know these talented, gorgeous twin singing duo then I'd like to introduce you. They're names are Megan (brunette) and Liz and if you aren't already a fan you will be after you listen and buy https://t.co/kliuc5zFcA their new EP "Simple Life." I myself have been a fan for a few years now and believe me when I say their music gets better and better with every new song and relatable lyrics that come with it. They're 21 and originally from Michigain until they moved to Nashville in 2011, then to LA in 2013 and back to Nashville where, for them, it feels more like home. After having a rough start to the year, not releasing their very first debut album due to the collapse of their label, the twins have rebounded with a bang, A bang that has brought them to the #4 spot on the Country chart on iTunes that is! Their new EP "Simple Life," which was released June 3rd, has personal and honest written all over it. It is clear from these seven brand new songs that the genre of Country music and Megan and Liz were meant to be. I don't think we've ever heard such raw and a clear cut level of talent from them, like this, ever before. I've always known they can sing, and I've always loved their music, but this EP is different. The sound, the lyrics, the emotion--it's all very much true to who Megan and Liz are as they continue to grow as people and as artists. They've always been open with their fans but this time they dug a little deeper. This time they opened the wounds a little wider, and exposed themselves a little more. This time they put all the cards on the table--and they blew me away. Since the release of their single "Release You," around this time last year, it is clear that Megan and Liz have grown up. They've gone through so many changes: turning 21, moving out on their own, and even headlining their very own tour. I think all that they've gone through, all the ups and downs and everything in between, is what fueled the passion for this EP. If you want to experience two young girls living their dream and loving every minute I suggest you look these two up. You won't regret it.
The track list for the EP is as follows: Simple Life- a classic country song that you just can't get enough of. A Better Me (my favorite!)- a break up song that you will fall in love with (ironically) again and again because it's that good. Karma's Coming Back for Me- a song that can literally be applied to more than just a break up. New At This- a song I will for sure be blasting on my 21st birthday this year. It's a blast through your car speakers with the windows rolled down kind of tune. Night of Our Lives- a feel good song that brings up nostalgic memories with friends. Switch Hearts- the song that they've played live for years and that all of us have been waiting for a studio version of, and it's finally here and we're all ecstatic. Grave-we heard this song for the first time acoustically, which was fantastic, but I am completely in love with the studio version. It was so well done and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Do yourself a favor and become a Megan and Liz fan.
