It's that time of year again and I may possibly be one of the few people that actually enjoys Valentine's Day. Why wallow in self pity over being single when you could be embracing it? It's not all about romantic love. Focus on your friends, focus on your famiy, focus on YOU. Who knows you better than you? Buy yourself treats bake yourself treats! Why not relish in all the lovey dovey-ness of the day?

I've really been learning this week that self love is one of the hardest things to do. I constantly over think, I berate myself and rarely take the time to really say 'Hey, you're doing good today, go you.' I always find something wrong with what I've done. I am never satisfied with myself. But I've also learned that happiness within yourself is a process. Like they say "Rome wasn't built in a day." Things won't just change. I have to change them. I'm not going to wake up one day and all of a sudden be confident. It's something I'm going to have to work at if I want things to be different. This is why I want to encourage everyone to approach Valentine's Day with a smile and good attitude. I know it's hard, especially if you're like me, but it's not impossible. We can do it. We'll get there one day at a time, together.
Never forget the essence of your spark!
